Niagara Falls is the perfect overnight trip from New York City. Travel northwest through the mountains and across scenic upstate New York to the majestic Niagara Falls. Depart New York in the morning and travel northwest through the beautiful mountains and across scenic upstate New York. You'll stop every 2 hours to stretch your legs. Experience the state's diverse ethnic heritage and the rolling hills of the Finger Lakes, one of the country's premier wine producing areas, before reaching Niagara Falls at 5:00pm. You'll be spending a night at the hotel located on the Canada side on the Falls. If you do not have the proper travel documents to enter Canada, you'll be staying at the hotel on the American side of the Falls. The group staying on the Canadian side will be guided on a night walking tour before a good night's rest.

In the morning enjoy breathtaking views of the Falls when you take a cruise on Niagara River, aboard the Maid of the Mist. You will get amazing close-ups at the base of the thundering waterfalls and feel the awesome power of the water on a 30-minute cruise. You will get close enough to the falls to feel the cool mist on your skin.

The "Maid of the Mist" only operates in the warmer months so if you are traveling from mid-October to April you will visit the Scenic Tunnels instead. Now known as "Journey Behind the Falls", an elevator takes you behind the great sheet of Niagara Falls down to a thunderous up close view of Niagara Falls.

After your close-up Niagara Falls experience you'll begin your return to New York, arriving back in the city around 7:30pm.
