JCPenney Introduces The Simply Green Label

JCPenney has created a new label for its house-brand clothing in response to consumer demand for green products. The current selection (available at all 1,074 department stores and online) is comprised of cute graphic tees, tanks, and more.

The Simply Green label will highlight organic, renewable, or recycled products. To qualify for one of the above categories, an items must be:

Made with at least 70% organic raw materials
Made from at least 25% renewable material (including bamboo, soy, or wood from certified forestry operations)
Must contain at least 25% recycled materials( including cotton, glass, or polyester from recovered plastic bottles)
