Making Waves: Ouidad Salon Sun Shield Treatment

I do, now that I've had my straight-with-a-bedhead-streak locks transformed into gorgeous curls at Ouidad, the Mecca for girls with curls. I visited Ouidad's NYC salon to check out the Salon Sun Shield Treatment, which locks in moisture and shine while protecting hair from the sun's damaging rays. After washing the hair, a Ouidad stylist applies an organic glaze that's been specially formulated with 21 amino acids, proteins, and sulfur. You'll sit under a dryer for about 20 minutes to let the treatment penetrate deep into locks. Finally, the glaze is rinsed out, and the styling can commence.
Though, as a gal who plays it 'straight', I was intimidated by the wavy-haired goddesses sitting around me, my stylist Angela's skillful use of a diffuser and products like Botanical Boost magically created a head full of curls that left me gasping in the mirror (in a good way, of course). The treatment left my hair shinier and healthier-looking, and the curls managed to look defined and springy without feeling crunchy.
The Ouidad Salon Sun Shield Treatment lasts 4-6 weeks, and, in my experience, is a terrific barrier against that harsh, drying sun.
